What is a Sommelier? [So-Mol-Yay!]

A Sommelier is a Wine Expert. Well, it's the French term that means wine expert.

There are many people that claim to be Sommeliers but lack the proper training.

So do we! But sometimes the wine industry can seem a bit STUFFY. That's why we created the Certified Wine Expert® (CWX) training and certification program.

 

We've made learning about wine fun, easy and accessible. Even if you've never worked in the wine industry you will emerge knowing more about wine than many so-called Sommeliers.

 

CWX training and certification are both done online. Our goal is not to rank you against other students, but to teach you and provide the tools and resources you need to learn, in your own way and on your own schedule.
